- Slice the unpeeled apples into 1 cm (0.4 in.) thick wedges. *Each quarter of the quartered apples should result in 4 to 5 wedges each.
- Place (1) and the freshly-squeezed juice from the lemon into a pot, mix in (A) and turn on the heat. Once boiling, allow to simmer for 20 to 30 minutes, until about one-fourth of the liquid remains. Stir several times while simmering to ensure even tenderness of the apple wedges.
